Biokinetics is an HPCSA-registered health profession. That means most South African medical aids will pay for sessions from your medical savings account or day-to-day benefit — the same way they handle physio or a dietician consult. You pay us, then claim it back.
Phone your scheme or open the app and ask whether biokinetics is covered on your plan and how much day-to-day or savings benefit you have left. Cover differs plan to plan.
Your first visit is a full movement assessment with an HPCSA-registered biokineticist from R900. That assessment sets your programme and gives your scheme a clinical reason for the claim.
You settle at the studio. We hand you an invoice with our practice number, the correct procedure codes and an ICD-10 code where relevant.
Upload the invoice on your medical aid app or email it to your scheme. Reimbursement typically lands within a few working days, straight into your account.
We can't guarantee cover — that decision sits with your scheme, your plan type and your remaining benefits. What we guarantee is a correctly coded invoice so nothing gets rejected on paperwork.

You earn Vitality fitness points for attending Pilates and group classes, and 1 000 points for the Vitality Nutrition Assessment with our dietician (R534). Points are logged against your Discovery membership, so give us your Vitality number at your first visit.
Biokinetics is an HPCSA-registered health profession, so most South African medical aids pay biokinetics sessions from your medical savings account or day-to-day benefit. Dieticians are registered healthcare professionals, so many medical aids cover consults from savings or a day-to-day benefit. We provide an invoice with the correct codes for you to submit. The Vitality Nutrition Assessment is separate: R534 and 1 000 Vitality points.
Recovery services like sports massage, compression boots, red light and infrared sauna are not claimable from medical aid. They are paid privately at the studio and booked through Fresha.
