High-energy acoustic waves that reach stubborn, chronic pain — tendons, heels and shoulders — without needles or surgery.

Shockwave therapy delivers high-energy acoustic pressure waves into compromised musculoskeletal tissue. It's non-invasive, needle-free, and it's the gold standard for stubborn tendon injuries that haven't responded to rest or basic physio.
The waves penetrate the tissue and create shear stress and micro-cavitation — a process called mechanotransduction that forces a cellular response. It stimulates neovascularisation (new blood vessel growth), raises localised cellular energy, and breaks down pathological calcification inside tendons.
It also overstimulates the pain nerves in the area, which is why many people feel relief straight after the first session even though the tissue remodelling takes weeks.
We palpate to locate the exact painful point — shockwave is targeted, not sprayed over an area.
Ultrasound gel goes on so the wand couples properly to the skin.
Five to ten minutes per site at 1–21 Hz and 1.0–5.0 bar, adjusted to what you can tolerate.
A rapid mechanical tapping that borders on a productive, tolerable ache. Intensity is dialled to your feedback.
You book the next session exactly 7 days later. Tissue remodelling needs that window.
Proven resolution of long-standing Achilles, patellar and rotator cuff problems.
Dissolves calcific deposits within joints and tendons.
Significant, lasting relief where rest, stretching and standard therapy have failed.
Completely non-invasive, with no downtime — you walk out and carry on with your day.
Overstimulating the pain nerves often gives noticeable relief within hours of the first session.

A standard course is three to five sessions, spaced exactly seven days apart to allow the tissue to remodel between treatments. Most people notice a change after two or three. Chronic cases of several years' standing sometimes need the full five.
You'll feel a rapid mechanical tapping that becomes a deep, productive ache over the painful spot. It's intense for the five to ten minutes of treatment but tolerable, and we adjust the intensity to your feedback. Most people describe the sensation as strange rather than painful.
Shockwave works by triggering a controlled inflammatory healing response in the tendon. Anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen and other NSAIDs suppress exactly that response, which cancels out the treatment. Use paracetamol or ice instead for the days after each session.
It's most effective on chronic injuries lasting longer than three months: plantar fasciitis, tennis and golfer's elbow, Achilles tendinitis, patellar tendinopathy, rotator cuff pain and calcific tendon deposits. Fresh acute injuries are not the right candidate.
Yes, but avoid heavy impact loading of the treated tendon for 48 hours after each session. Your therapist will give you specific guidance based on your sport and where you are in the course.
